Myrtle Beach Area Builders

There has been a significant amount of new construction in the Myrtle Beach area.  Many future subdivisions are being planned that indicate continued growth.  The New Homes Myrtle Beach web site (https://www.myrtlenewhomes.com) has been tracking new construction activity for several years.  This New Homes Myrtle Beach site is focused solely on providing a simplified guide to all of the new home communities in Myrtle Beach, SC.  This site is independently managed to serve and support development of the Myrtle Beach community and is a unique Myrtle Beach new home resource.  All Myrtle Beach new home communities are presented without the influence or dependence of community or builder advertising.

The New Homes Myrtle Beach platform data (accompanying graphic) shows the community activity of each of the most prominent US builders.  The “Communities” column in this graphic represents the sum of communities that (1) have recently been completed by the builder within the last year, (2) current active communities being developed by the builder, and (3) future communities that are being planned by the builder.

The New Homes Myrtle Beach platform data is generally defining the Myrtle Beach area to be all of Horry County and parts of Georgetown County down to the Pawleys Island area.

This data, as of August 2024, shows that D. R. Horton leads all builders with involvement in 58 communities, followed by Lennar being involved with 28 communities and then Great Southern Homes involved with 23 communities.
