Robert Edge Townhomes is a new townhome community in North Myrtle Beach that is currently in the planning stages. This new townhome community is conveniently located at the intersection of Robert Edge Parkway and Highway 31. Robert Edge Parkway extends from SC Highway 90 west to US Highway 17 at Main Street in North Myrtle Beach and includes a bridge over the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway and an interchange at Carolina Bays Parkway. The Robert Edge Parkway (named after Robert Edge) opened in September 2009 and was the final project in Horry County’s initial Road Improvement and Development Effort (RIDE) program.
Robert Edge is a well-known name in the Grand Strand. Robert Edge, Sr. was the first mayor of North Myrtle Beach in 1968 when the beach towns of Ocean Drive Beach, Crescent Beach (of which Robert Edge Sr. had been the mayor) and Windy Hill came together to form North Myrtle Beach.
The Robert Edge Townhomes community is situated on a 30.45 acre parcel of land. Preliminary plans for the Robert Edge Townhomes community are showing 182 three-bedroom townhomes.
Pelican Bay Lakes and Pelican Bay are a couple of the neighboring communities where the Robert Edge Townhomes will be developed. The North Myrtle Beach Sport Complex is on the opposite of Highway 31 from where the Robert Edge Townhomes will be developed.
Palmetto Main Street Partners LLC currently owns the land.
